EPS Job for Philippine

The Philippine government will conduct the sixth Korean Language test for Phlipinos who wants to work in south korea under the employment Permit System(EPS).

The test will be administered by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) in cooperation with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea).

POEA has said Filipino workers need to pass the test to be included on the list of applicants from which Korean employers electronically select from to fill positions in the manufacturing and construction sectors under the foreign labor quota for 2010.

South Korea and the Philippines signed a new EPS agreement last year that outlines the process for hiring Filipinos to work in South Korea. Foreign workers who enter South Korea under the EPS are only allowed to work in five industries: manufacturing, construction, agriculture and stockbreeding, fishing and services.

The POEA said applicants should register on its Web site (www.poea.gov.ph) on or before Jan. 15 to qualify for the test. Past registered applicants are advised to keep their accounts active, meaning that they should have visited their account at least once in the last three months.

There are three requirements for Filipinos to qualify to take the EPS-KLT: They should be between 18 to 38 years old, at least a high school graduate and have a valid passport.

Applicants shouldn't have a criminal or imprisonment record, nor be restricted in travelling to South Korea based on past immigration violations.

The application period for the EPS-KLT is from Jan. 25 to 29.

The examination will be administered either on Feb. 28 or March 27, the POEA said.

The KLT will cover 50 items consisting of reading (40 minutes) and listening (30 minutes) questions, which will be taken from a pool of questions in the EPS-KLT review provided by HRD Korea. Each item is worth 4 points and applicants needs to get a minimum score of 80 to pass.

POEA said no formal Korean language training is required and the EPS-KLT review can be downloaded from the agency's Web site.

Upon passing the exam, Filipino workers will be issued the EPS-KLT certificate, which is valid for two years. The last EPS-KLT was held in May 2007.

    Dear Sir,

    The system of worker recruitment from Bangladesh by HRD Korea is not perfect. The employer can't get any perfect/ overall idea from photograph of a worker. The HRD Korea should select a Bangladeshi. worker through pre registration serial number or highest mark's holder of eps-klt. The Korean employer just submits a requisition latter to HRD for worker. As per his/ their requirement HRD Korea will select the worker as per registration serial number or highest marks holder of eps klt.

    If the Korean employer selecting or choosing a worker by observing a photograph then no need any pre registration or language test.

    In that case the HRD Korea should invite for photograph first from Bangladeshi worker through web site. Received photograph will be hanging at the HRD office for Korean employer. The Korean employer will select the worker first, then HRD should register the worker name and then arrange for eps-klt/topic. Those who will pass the eps-klt/topic will complete the medical test and medically fit worker will immediately priced/travel to Korea. Because the worker already had chose by the employer.

    Otherwise4 the system of HRD Korea is no 1 pre registration, no 2 language test, no 3 medical test then so long waiting for Korean employer choice is very disgusting and below slandered system. A photograph can’t be the proof of efficiency or hardworking.

    If so, no need the pre registration or language test first.

    But the Korean employer is not responsible for this below slandered and back dated system. The HRD Korea is completely responsible for this.

    So that we the sufferer are requesting to the authority of HRD Korea, please from now on just collect a manpower requisition from Korean employer and select the Bangladeshi worker from top of the pre registration list or highest marks holder of eps-klt. Or stop the pre registration and eps-klt/topic system. Just invite for photograph from Bangladeshi for selection by Korean employer first, and then start the next procedure.

    Please evaluate our eps-klt result. Because, we are suffering for last two year’s.

    If you start first choosing by photograph no one will suffer. Because he will know that the Korean employer has rejected his photograph. So, no need for farther proceedings.

    Please forget about our first or second job choice or expected salary. All of us are willing /ready to work in manufacturing sector by Korean employer proposed salary.

    About age: we are not responsible for this. Because you are asking for 18-39 years of age during registration. But you are unable to employments us during the period of age expire. So, please employment us on time, or please don't delete our name from the roster until you employment us . Otherwise it will make us very sorrow.
